Obama Country

My 6 weeks in North America comes to en end with 5 days for me to enjoy New York and Washington DC. Got a look at some of the big sites: Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Reedemer Church, Madison Square Garden, the Lincoln Monument, the white house and a few Hot Dog Vendors. Hot dogs off the street corners isn't the best food I've had but it was worth a try. Just don't take your partner there on a date.

Highlight was to sit back and enjoy a Broadway show, I was lucky enough to see 2. Wicked (The witches of Oz story before Dorothy showed up) and The Phantom of the Operah. The costumes, sets and atmosphere makes the shows unforgettable and something you'll probably never forget :o|

It has been the best 6 weeks and if anyone can tear themselves away from their tv sets long enough i'd reccommend you get over here and enjoy it with me :o)

1 month later...

I had a great time with Dave & Jackie law but time flies. Caught a train across Canada through the Rocky Mountains to Calgary. One last day skiing and what an awesome landscape. Lake Louise in the heart of the Rocky's

It's hard to believe that almost a whole month has gone since I left all my friends and family at home to explore this wonderful world God has lent us. I am missing you guys more than i thought but not ready to come home yet.

On a completely unrelated note I feel that my supercoach preparation is progressing well and I should be able to reclaim the premiership this year :D

Olympic Opening

Six days so far in Vancouver. Wow has it gone that fast. Dave & Jackie have been great hosts and exploring the city has been pretty fun. We all went skiing on Wednesday on Whistler: the olympic slopes. Real highlight was the Opening Ceremony which was worth every cent. Best performance i've seen since the last time I saw Jono Quinn do something

2 Days Left in Tahoe

1st time snowmobiling, NHL match at San Jose, my 14yo cousin Max - he is one switched on Christian :), beautiful Emerald bay, my crazy and cool Aunt Jo Mutz, watched Avatar on 6 floor high screen at an Imax at Sacramento, 11yo cousin Paul aka ladies man, Jo's house where I've been staying for over 2 weeks, and me 'attempting' to snowboard for 2 days.

Also met a whole bunch of cool and friendly old fellas from Alabama who adopted me into their group. Spent 2 days skiing with them and having fun hanging out with one of their daughters who'd tagged along... poor girl hehe
